Seminar about how operating systems work. Readings and discussion about classic and recent research papers. Intensive programming assignments in the construction of a prototype operating system. Computer Science 380J and 395T (Topic: Operating Systems Implementation) may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
Pre/Corequisites: Graduate standing; and an undergraduate course in operating systems, networking, or distributed systems, or consent of instructor.
