Examines the main works of ancient historiography, and provides grounding in the central issues with which these works engage. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Ancient History and Classical Civilization 325 (Topic 13), Classical Civilization 322 (Topic 13), 322D, Comparative Literature 323 (Topic 59), Core Texts and Ideas 329. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
