Restricted to Plan I majors in the College of Liberal Arts. Examine how writers are able to respond creatively to challenging conditions and circumstances through certain writing practices and aesthetics. Study various writers and how their work responds to various forms of crises, such as personal, social, environmental, and existential. Explore a wide range of literary texts that capture contemporary dialogue with crisis. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Liberal Arts Honors 341T and 350 (Topic: Creative Writing and Crisis) may not both be counted. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing and a grade point average of at least 3.50.
