The evolution of the culture and language of German immigrants to Texas from the 1840s through the present and how they have influenced other ethnic groups in Texas. Only one of the following may be counted: American Studies 370 (Topic 47), Anthropology 324L (Topic 55), 351G, German, Scandinavian, and Dutch Studies 351C, Linguistics 351D. Three lectures a week for one semester.
