Examine probabilistic risk assessment models and nuclear arms nonproliferation, including failure classifications; failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA); fault and event trees; and reliability block diagrams. Discuss specific areas from the Code of Federal Regulations. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
