Same as Radio-Television-Film 359 (Topic 10) and Women's and Gender Studies 340 (Topic 99). Explore the history of U.S.-based Latina filmmakers (primarily directors, producers, and screenwriters) and the images they have created. Examine early representations of Latinas in Hollywood film and consider how Latina filmmakers have gained increasing control over their own images, particularly since the 1990s. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
