The Bachelor of Science in Biology degree program offers 10 concentrations. The concentrations have certain prescribed work in common, and each concentration has additional requirements. Many fields in the study of biological systems require broadly based training that transcends the classical boundaries of biology. In planning a program of work to meet his or her degree requirements, a student interested in specializing in these interdisciplinary areas should choose courses both in biology and in sciences that complement biology.

MBS X26L MBS 226L  General Microbiology Laboratory  2 Hours

Introduction to microbiology laboratory techniques and experimental demonstration of principles of microbiology. Biology 226L and Molecular Biosciences 226L may not both be counted. One lecture and three laboratory hours a week for one semester.
Pre/Corequisites: Credit with a grade of at least C- or registration for Molecular Biosciences 326M (or credit with a grade of at least C- for Biology 326M) or 326R (or credit with a grade of at least C- for Biology 326R).
