Examine genomic and proteomic tools used to understand the causes of human infectious diseases. Discuss genome sequencing, community sequencing, proteomics, microarrays, and human polymorphism analysis; and how these technologies have been applied to the study of important human viral diseases. Explore extensive coverage of the molecular and clinical biology of these diseases. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
