Studies the theory and evidence bases for diagnosis and management of a variety of common psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Emphasizes diagnostic reasoning, clinical decision-making, and therapeutic strategies appropriate for the role of the family psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner. Considers the sociocultural and community context for patient care. Nursing 380F and Nurse Professional 380F may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
