Study health promotion, anticipatory guidance, prevention of illness, and the assessment and management of acute illnesses commonly affecting children. Discuss concepts related to the advanced role development of nurse practitioners. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Nursing 394E and 393E may not both be counted. Offered on the letter-grade basis only. Prerequisite: For students in the pediatric nurse practitioner concentration, graduate standing and concurrent enrollment in Nursing 393F and 393D; for others, graduate standing, Nursing 393C, credit or registration for Nursing 393F, and consent of instructor.
