Explores basic economic theory, market drivers and restraints, health care budget, financial management and reimbursement, cost/benefit analysis, and healthcare entrepreneurialism. Includes theory and application, with a particular focus on the clinical role of the Doctor of Nursing Practice within the contemporary healthcare environment. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Nursing 395 (Topic 9) and 395P may not both be counted. Offered on the letter-grade basis only. Prerequisite: Graduate standing; Nursing 395E, 395F, and 395G.
