RTF 352 RTF 352. Global Media and Area Studies. 3 Hours.
Study of political, social, cultural, and economic factors affecting the use and impact of communication systems in selected regions, such as South Asia, Latin America, Middle East, Europe, East Asia, and Africa. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Some topics may also require two and one-half film screening hours a week. May be repeated for credit when the topics vary. Prerequisite: Upper-division standing.
To be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film, the candidate must complete 120 semester hours of coursework and must fulfill the University's General Requirements for graduation and the Core Curriculum requirements, the college graduation requirements, the requirements and policies listed in Academic Policies and Procedures, and the requirements given in Prescribed Work, and Major Requirements, below.
