Introduction to the study of digital remix cultures. Subjects will include medium specific mash-up cultures and platforms (image, audio, video), authorship and ownership, political remix and culture jamming, and memes. Assignments will merge theory and practice. Radio-Television-Film 319 and 327C may not both be counted. Three lecture hours and two laboratory hours a week for one semester.
