Examine the auditory and nonauditory effects of noise; damage-risk criteria; federal and state laws governing noise and noise control; acoustic measurement procedures; identification audiometry; ear protection; and nonorganic hearing loss and evaluative procedures. For each semester hour of credit earned, one lecture hour a week for one semester. Only one of the following be counted: Communication Sciences and Disorders 394D and 394Q, Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences 194D, 394D, and 194Q, 394Q. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
