Designed for graduate students in Audiology or Speech-Language Pathology. Explore aspects of deaf culture and community, Deaf/deaf identity and the experience of culturally deaf individuals, families of young deaf and hard of hearing children, and the educational system in which the children are educated. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted Communication Sciences and Disorders 395D, 395P, and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences 395D. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
