Survey of postwar Japanese politics; the occupation, governmental institutions, interest groups, protest movements, industrial policy, the government-business relationship, and political and economic reform. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Asian Studies 321M and Government 321M may not both be counted. Prerequisite: Six semester hours of lower-division coursework in government.
