Examines the complex social fabric that comprises contemporary Israeli society, and that shapes Israeli identity, practice and politics. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Anthropology 322D, 325L (Topic: Multicultural Israel), Jewish Studies 365 (Topic: Multicultural Israel), 365C, Middle Eastern Studies 341 (Topic: Multicultural Israel), 341 (Topic 8). Prerequisite: Upper division standing.
