Mesoamerican art, architecture, and its archaeological context, with emphasis on the social function of art and visual culture in ancient Mesoamerica up to the time of European contact. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Art History 347L and Latin American Studies 327 (Topic 3) may not both be counted.
