Examine galaxy evolution, emphasizing first galaxies to the cosmic star formation peak at redshift z=2. Interpret relevant observations and simulations. Astronomy 386 (Topic: Galaxy Evol at High Redshift) and 395H may not both be counted. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
