Introduction to the range of different epistemological perspectives that are used in the conduct of social science research, including the scientific method/positivism, postpositivism, interpretivism, postmodernism, critical theory, race-based and culture-based perspectives, and feminisms. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Educational Administration 387Q, Educational Leadership and Policy 391D, 391E. Offered on the letter-grade basis only. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
