Determining what the Constitution means, how to determine what it means, and who should determine what it means. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Core Texts and Ideas 326 (Topic: Constitutional Interpretation), 326 (Topic 1), 326C, Government 357C, 357M (Topic 5). Prerequisite: Upper-division standing and six semester hours of lower-division coursework in government.
