Addresses the nature, functional principles, leadership, and policy-making process of contemporary Asian regionalism in comparison to the experiences of European integration. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Asian Studies 361 (Topic: Asian Regionalism and Multilateral Cooperation), 361 (Topic 40), Government 365F, 365L (Topic: Asian Regionalism and Multilateral Cooperation), 365L (Topic 5). Prerequisite: Upper-division standing and six semester hours of lower-division coursework in government.
