Same as Ancient History and Classical Civilization 310 (Topic 3), History 306Q, and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures 301J. Survey the history of the Middle East from the beginning of the Neolithic period (9000 BCE) through the invasion of the region by Alexander the Great in 332 BCE and into the pre-Islamic era. Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
