A structural and historical overview of Buddhism through the examination of various schools, doctrines, biographical narratives, and contemporary ethical issues. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Asian Studies 301M (Topic 11), Religious Studies 312 (Topic: Introduction to Buddhism), 312C.
