Explore the definitions, motivations, and utility of software system architectures from a technical and business perspective; derivation, specification, and analysis of architectural views in support of different phases in the system engineering lifecycle; methods to judge architectural quality; and communication of architectural views to a wide range of system stakeholders. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Electrical and Computer Engineering 361M and Electrical Engineering 379K (Topic: Software Architectures) may not both be counted. Offered on the letter-grade basis only.
