Explore the cultural history of Japan from the 1980s to the present, with particular attention paid to economic and ecological issues represented in literature, film, and visual culture. Prerequisite: For Asian studies majors, twelve semester hours of upper-division coursework in Asian studies; for others, upper-division standing.
