Use of microeconomic theory to analyze how firms make decisions involving human resources, including recruiting and hiring strategies, training and investment in worker skills, evaluating and motivating worker performance, and job design. Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Only one of the following may be counted: Economics 376M (Topic: Personnel Economics), 376M (Topic 1), and 376N.
